Bridal Make-up

It is a great honor to be chosen as a bride’s make-up artist. This is one of the most important days in a woman’s life and deserves to be treated so. Sharyn has worked with over a thousand brides and their bridal parties/guests to date and knows through experience how to make every detail of their make-up flawless from helping to coordinate timing to asking the right questions to get a feel for the colors, theme and entire look yet still keeping within the brides comfort zone .

A pretrial is highly recommended where all details are gone over for your special day. Feel free to bring your swatches, magazine pictures and camera to take a picture once we are done to see what you will look like in photos. Once we have gone over colors, style and your vision.  Sharyn will apply the make up to your liking. If you don’t have any of these that is ok too…she will be glad to guide you through step by step.  Sharyn believes in a clean fresh look for the bride yet keeping photography and comfort zone in mind. Once complete a $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required (which is subtracted from your wedding day total) and signed contract. See Rates for more information.

You are invited to bring a guest or two to the trial and plan on a hour and a half for timing. Please let Sharyn know ahead of time if your guests/attendants are interested in a pretrial as well so I can plan for timing. Each Pretrial is $75.00 and is recommended to schedule on a day that you may have your engagement pictures, shower or special event. Keep in mind that Sharyn books quickly so the further out you book the better chance of availability.

On your big day Sharyn will arrive at your location with all make-up in hand. She also carries the lipsticks, liner, gloss and blotting papers to purchase the day of for touch ups (which is recommended). 
Sharyn and team are available for hire to travel with you the day of your wedding for you and your bridal party. This is for the bride and guests that we have already completed hair and make-up on. However we will need to know this in advance and an additional deposit will be required.

FAQs

Do you do hair?
Sharyn personally does not but she has a team of professional hairdressers that she works with. It is recommended to have a pretrial with one of them as well. Sharyn will be happy to set up a hairdresser for you. She also has a studio inside of Andre Philips Salon in Milford Ct where you are welcome to come to the day of your wedding if you wish.

How many people can have their make- up done?
As many as you need done.  An approximate head count will be needed when booking and a definite amount 6 weeks prior to the wedding day. Should you need an additional artist to accommodate more guests Sharyn will set that up for you as well.

Do you have a minimum number of people?
No unlike other artists we can do 1 to 15 people. Please keep in mind that the more attendants you have the less the price becomes for everyone.

Can I book just hair or just make-up or both?
You can book for whatever your needs are.  We understand that not every wedding is the same and requires different needs.

Do you charge extra for travel?
Only if your location is more than 25 miles from our starting point. Sharyn’s starting point is Ansonia and depending on the hair dresser chosen…there are several so depending on availability we try to match up closest to your location. All tolls, parking tickets for hotels, tips for bell boys or valet parking are paid for by the client. A .50 cents per mile fee may occur for distance over 25 miles.
